Zendaya, Tom Holland engaged after Golden Globes diamond ring rumors: Reports
'Peter Parker and MJ may be slinging their way down the aisle soon.
Zendaya and Tom Holland, whose Hollywood romance began with their starring roles in the "Spider-Man" franchise, are now engaged, according to People magazine and TMZ.
A "family source" confirmed the couple's marital news to People. USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Zendaya and Holland for comment.
Zendaya's engagement to Holland comes after the "Challengers" actress sparked engagement rumors with her red-carpet appearance at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards.

While the 28-year-old served up Old Hollywood glamour in a caramel Louis Vuitton double silk satin column bustier gown, it was a ring on her left hand — appearing to be a diamond — that sent fans into a frenzy on social media, with some speculating that the accessory was Zendaya's way of revealing the engagement.
During the awards show, a Los Angeles Times reporter asked Zendaya if she was engaged after the actress motioned to the ring during their exchange. In response, Zendaya reportedly "smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously."
Zendaya's ring wasn't the only part of her Golden Globes look that caught fans' attention.
A tattoo, seemingly of the lowercase letter "T," appeared tucked beneath the bodice of the actress's Louis Vuitton dress. The sight sparked speculation that the ink was in reference to Holland's first name.
"Finding out that Zendaya has a tiny 't' tattoo and an engagement ring was not on my golden globes bingo card 😭😭," @4folklovermore wrote on X. "I'm so happy for my girl."
Zendaya and Holland met while working on the 2017 superhero drama "Spider-Man: Homecoming." The couple confirmed their relationship in the fall of 2021 after paparazzi photos leaked of the pair kissing inside a car.
From then to now, the couple has kept a low profile when it comes to public appearances and displays of affection, but they've made their romance known in subtle ways.
In an April interview with British Vogue, Zendaya gushed about how her beau navigated his sudden rise to superstardom thanks to his breakout role in the Marvel franchise films.
"We were both very, very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight. One day you're a kid and you're at the pub with your friends, and then the next day you're Spider-Man," she told the outlet. "I definitely watched his life kind of change in front of him. But he handled it really beautifully."
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2023, Holland spoke about why the couple is just fine keeping their relationship out of the public eye.
"Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible," he said. "We don't think that we owe it to anyone, it's our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers."
Around the same time last summer, the actor spoke highly of relationship to Zendaya, calling it the thing he holds "most scared" in life.
"I don’t talk about it. I try my best to keep it as private as possible," he said during an appearance on the "On Purpose with Jay Shetty" podcast. "We both feel very strongly that that is the healthiest way to move on as a couple."
The famously private Zendaya and Tom Holland are rumored to be engaged. Being secretive is good for their brand.
Zendaya wore a ring on her left ring finger to the Golden Globes on Sunday — reigniting theories that she and Tom Holland are engaged.
Two branding PR experts told Business Insider that this approach could generate more attention than a simple statement.
Holland met Zendaya in 2016 when she auditioned for 2017's "Spider-Man: Homecoming," in which he played Spider-Man. Zendaya's character, Michelle Jones, became Holland's love interest in the sequels to "Homecoming," leading fans to speculate about whether the actors would date as other former "Spider-Man" costars did.
Holland confirmed their romance to GQ in November 2021. He also criticized journalists for publishing a photo of them kissing in a car earlier that year, before they were ready to go public.
Since then, Zendaya and Holland have appeared in public as a couple but kept most details about their relationship private.
On Sunday, the Los Angeles Times reporter Amy Kaufman said that when asked if she was engaged, Zendaya "kept showing her ring, smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously."
On Monday, TMZ and People reported that they were engaged, citing unnamed sources.
Neither Zendaya nor Holland have commented, and their representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment from BI.
Kayley Cornelius, a celebrity PR specialist from Manchester, England, said Zendaya's choice to wear the ring could be a clever PR stunt, as it could get double the attention.
She added that fans and journalists were already speculating about whether the couple were engaged and that the conversation would restart if they addressed the rumors.
"If they just came out with a statement saying they're engaged, the moment would've lived and died by the end of this week," Cornelius said.
Mayah Riaz, a PR and personal-branding expert based in London, said she wouldn't label the moment a publicity stunt but thought Zendaya's team "would be fully aware of the buzz it would generate."
"It has excited fans and media, driving attention without either of them having to make a formal statement," Riaz said. "This understated approach is very in line with their brand of letting their work speak for itself while occasionally letting personal moments shine."
Riaz said the private approach reinforced the actors' brands as "mature, focused professionals."
"They've cultivated trust and respect from their fan base, as they are seen as prioritizing their personal lives over publicity," Riaz said. "Doing this allows them to focus public attention on their work rather than their personal life, which can be beneficial for those wanting to be taken seriously in their craft."
Cornelius said this approach made Holland and Zendaya's relationship seem more relatable and authentic.
"They're probably losing out on money by not being as public as they are and building up that brand and identity together," Cornelius said. "So the fact that they're willing to lose out on that, keep things private, it shows that they're likely very genuine and they very much care about one another."
Comparing the couple to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Cornelius said it was smart for Zendaya and Holland to keep their brands separate in case they break up.
"Unfortunately for Travis, he is going to find it very hard to ever shift his brand from being Taylor Swift's boyfriend," Cornelius said. "And because they've been so public together, everything that Travis does now is going to have that association with Taylor Swift."
Riaz and Cornelius said that by rarely sharing public moments together, Zendaya and Holland garner more attention than celebrities who are often out together.
They said this increased interest in the couple could backfire if fans overstepped boundaries to find out more information or if false rumors spiraled out of control.
But overall, they said, the benefits outweigh these risks.
"Tom and Zendaya have struck a great balance by being private yet not completely inaccessible," Riaz said. "They've neither denied nor overshared, allowing them to maintain respect from their fans and the media."
Zendaya Flashed Her Engagement Ring from Tom Holland to Lots of Pals at 2025 Golden Globes: What We Know
Zendaya was the talk of the town at the 2025 Golden Globes.
It wasn't just because of her major red carpet moment, either — though her custom Louis Vuitton gown was easily one of the best of the night.
The Challengers star, 28, stole the show when she arrived to the Los Angeles awards show on Jan. 5 with a massive ring on that finger, sparking engagement buzz. And while she and her partner, Tom Holland, have remained mum on the chatter publicly since speculation began, the two are engaged, PEOPLE confirmed Jan. 6.
At the starry awards show, Zendaya took the opportunity to flash her engagement ring throughout the evening — and social media took notice. Here's everything we know about her ring so far.
TikTok creator Liz Duff pulled together a couple different moments from the evening that looked like Zendaya was showing the ring to people around her. One moment appeared to be Zendaya showing the ring to The Bear star Ayo Edebiri. In the video screengrab, Edebiri's eyes are comically large as they gaze at Zendaya, though it's admittedly difficult to see exactly what she's looking at. Duff speculates that it's the look of a best friend finding out the big news and seeing the rock.
In another clip, Duff shows Zendaya supposedly having a moment with Spider-Man and Challengers producer Amy Pascal (who is off screen). According to Duff's speculation, this clip also could be the young actress showing off the ring to a colleague and friend, though the video pans to the side before actually catching Zendaya showing her hand.
If that wasn't enough, a Los Angeles Times reporter who is recently engaged showed her own ring to Zendaya and called out the actress' ring. The outlet reported that Zendaya "smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously" in response.

X has also been busy pulling together receipts on Zendaya's engagement ring. One fan account noted that Zendaya herself liked an Instagram post from Jessica McCormack — the jeweler reportedly behind the ring — in 2022 with the ring that is now on her finger. Not only that, the Jessica McCormack account follows both Holland and Zendaya on Instagram (along with plenty of other celebrities).
Another clue from the Golden Globes? The rest of Zendaya's jewelry for the night was Bulgari, as the Dune star is an ambassador for the brand, and a press release shared details for all of her bling, but that ring was not included in all the sparkling details.
The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now!
It looks like that ring can be found on the Jessica McCormack website — in the engagement section.
It appears to be a 5.02ct East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring (though Zendaya's could have been customized). The ring on the brand's website displays a 5.02ct cushion diamond set on a 18k white and yellow gold band.
Reps for Zendaya and Holland have not responded to PEOPLE's request for comment.
Zendaya and Tom Holland Are Engaged!
Zendaya and Tom Holland are taking their relationship to the next level!
The Spider-Man costars, both 28, are engaged, a family source confirmed to PEOPLE. TMZ was first to report the news. According to the outlet, Holland proposed at one of Zendaya's family homes over the holidays.
A separate source told PEOPLE that "everyone close to them knew an engagement was happening" — just not when. The source said Holland had been keen to propose to Zendaya "for a while."
"He's always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special," the source said, noting that Holland shared the happy news with friends around New Year's.
As for tying the knot, the couple plans to take their time. "They will just enjoy things for now and won't rush a wedding," the source added. "They are both busy with work projects."
In the meantime, the pair are soaking up the special moment. "Tom's always had this sweet way of letting the world know that Zendaya is his. Now, it's official — she really is!" the source told PEOPLE. The news comes after Zendaya stepped out to the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 5, sporting a diamond ring on her lefthand ring finger. The ring appears to be a 5.02-carat East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring from Jessica McCormack, listed in the engagement section on the jewelry brand's website.
Holland previously teased his "secret" holiday plans with his now-fiancée while appearing on the Dec. 18 episode of the Dish podcast. "I'll be with my girlfriend's family, which will be fun. Where we'll be is a secret," he said of his plans to spend Christmas in the U.S.
"[Secret] to you guys," he joked. "I'll know where we're going."
Holland and Zendaya — who play onscreen couple Peter Parker and Michelle "MJ" Jones in the Spider-Man movies — maintained for years that they were just friends. However, just months after their characters shared their first kiss in 2019's in Spider-Man: Far from Home, life imitated art for the pair. Much to fans' delight, they were spotted kissing in a car in July 2021, confirming their off-screen romance.
In September of that year, they went Instagram official, with Holland sharing a selfie of the pair in honor of Zendaya's 25th birthday and affectionately calling the Euphoria star "my MJ" in the caption.
Weeks later, in a November 2021 interview with GQ, Holland expressed his desire to keep their relationship private. "One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn't really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world," he told the outlet.
He added that the pair would decide together when the time was right to share details about their relationship.
"This isn't my story. It's our story. And we'll talk about what it is when we're ready to talk about it together," Holland explained.

The couple's romance continued to blossom over the following months and years. And while they maintained a low profile, Zendaya shared her love for Holland in quiet ways. In a June 2022 Instagram post celebrating the Uncharted star's 26th birthday, she wrote simply, "Happiest of birthdays to the one who makes me the happiest <3," alongside a black-and-white snapshot of the pair cuddling.
In March 2023, she was spotted wearing a gold ring etched with Holland's initials in a video posted by Zendaya's nail artist on Instagram.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in June 2023, Holland reiterated why the couple prefers to keep their relationship under wraps. “Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible," he explained at the time. "We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”
The following month, he revealed that his relationship with Zendaya is the thing he holds "most sacred" in life.
"I don’t talk about it. I try my best to keep it as private as possible," he said while appearing on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast. "We both feel very strongly that that is the healthiest way to move on as a couple."
Zendaya echoed that sentiment in an August 2023 interview with Elle, telling the magazine that her priority is "protecting the peace" in her relationship with Holland amid the relentless public interest and paparazzi presence.
"Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love," she said.
"But also, I do have control over what I choose to share," Zendaya continued. "It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun either. I am navigating it more than ever now.”
Zendaya Debuts Possible Engagement Ring: What We Know About The 5-Carat Jewelry Piece

Zendaya’s ring has relatively lofty estimations in terms of its price similar to recent engagement rings received by fellow celebrities. Zoë Kravitz was given a cushion-cut diamond with a bezel setting sold by Jessica McCormack that was worth an estimated $550,000, according to Vogue, which also noted Scarlett Johansson’s more than $400,000 engagement ring and Selena Gomez’s engagement ring (estimated $175,000). Engagement rings worth more than $1 million include Mariah Carey’s 35-carat diamond engagement ring ($10 million) from Wilfredo Rosado, Jennifer Lopez’s green square-shaped ring ($5 million) from Ilan Portugali, and Katy Perry’s ring featuring a ruby gem ($5 million) from Delphi Antiques, according to The Knot.
Late actress Grace Kelly, who married Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956, boasted one of the most expensive engagement rings of all time with a ring priced at $4 million in the 50s, according to Brides.com, which added the ring’s modern day worth is around a whopping $38.8 million. Former First Lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis also received an incredibly pricey ring from Greek-Argentine business magnate Aristotle Onassis, who gave her a 40-carat ring valued at an estimated $20 million today.
Zendaya and Holland met and co-starred in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s “Spider-Man” movie series as their characters’ love interests, and went official with their off-screen relationship in 2021 after years of dating rumors. Zendaya once denied engagement rumors about her and Holland in 2023 after social media took note of an Instagram post she made in which she could be seen wearing a ring on her left hand. The actress said she made the post for her hat, which featured a throwback Golden State Warriors logo. Zendaya and Holland have largely kept their relationship’s details private from the public eye. Holland told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023 his relationship with Zendaya “is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible,” adding, “We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”

Zendaya and Tom Holland's Relationship Timeline
Tom Holland and Zendaya's relationship may have started with an on-screen romance, but the couple is getting ready to walk down the aisle in real life.
TMZ was the first to report that Holland and Zendaya are engaged after the Challengers star appeared on the red carpet at the 2025 Golden Globes wearing what appeared to be a diamond ring on her left hand.
When their romance first began, the costars entangled themselves in a web of rumors for years after being cast alongside each other in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. However, it wasn't until five years later that the couple confirmed their relationship.
During the interim period, Holland and Zendaya stressed in various interviews and social media posts that they were just really good friends — but although their relationship was supposedly platonic, their chemistry was undeniable.
Fast forward to 2019, the film franchise's fans were sent into a frenzy following the first on-screen kiss shared between Holland's Spider-Man and Zendaya's MJ in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Just a few months later, that shared moment transformed into something more than just acting — when they were spotted kissing in their car in July 2021, confirming the pair's real-life love story.
Since then, Holland and Zendaya have strived to keep a low-profile relationship and avoid excessive PDA. This doesn't mean that the two don't show their love for each other in other ways, though, as they never fail to support each other on social media and at public events.
From costars to lovers, keep scrolling to see a complete breakdown of Zendaya and Holland's sweet relationship timeline.
On July 10, 2016, the two were cast in Spider-Man: Homecoming and began to slowly pop up on each other's Instagram feeds.
Holland shared a photo of the two alongside another friend enjoying a dip in the pool that summer, with the caption, "Summer Sunday's."
On Nov. 9, 2016, Zendaya shared their dual cover story from The Hollywood Reporter where they were listed among the "Next Gen 2016."
The two actors were dressed to the nines with Zendaya in a gown and Holland in a black suit.
"Amidst all the chaos and sadness...this one good thing did happen to me today. Honored to share it with the very best...Spider-Man himself," she wrote in the caption.
The two continued to hang out, often accompanying each other to Hollywood events such as the MTV Movie & TV Awards in May 2017. In June of that year, the press tour for Spider-Man: Homecoming began and they were frequently spotted posing together on the red carpet.
After months of filming together, appearing on each other's Instagrams, and walking the same red carpets, rumors started to swirl surrounding the pair's relationship status — and on July 13, 2017, a source told PEOPLE Holland and Zendaya were romantically involved.
"They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man," said the insider. "They've been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye but they've gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another."
Added another source, "They're both really ambitious and they challenge each other — but, most importantly, they make each other crack up. They seem to have a really similar sense of humor and love joking around together. They have great banter back and forth."
Shortly before the July 7 premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Holland told PEOPLE how Zendaya had helped him navigate the spotlight. "We are like the best of friends. She's so great and amazing," he said of the actress.
"I'm a little worried [about dealing with fame … but] Zendaya is super famous and she's been through this and I just call her up and say, 'How do I manage being famous?' I'm very glad I have a friend like her," he added.
In August 2017, the Euphoria star told Variety she and Holland were not dating. "We are friends," she said. "He's a great dude. He's literally one of my best friends. This past how many months we've had to do press tours together. There's very few people that will understand what that's like at 20 years old."
The two remained close in between Spider-Man films, with Holland celebrating Zendaya's debut at the Met Gala in May 2018.
"All hail the queen. Killing it mate," he wrote alongside a photo of her dressed as Joan of Arc on the red carpet.
Holland also shared a cheeky moment on Instagram in May 2019 when he posted a photo of himself, Zendaya, and their Spider-Man costar Jacob Batalon while at Disneyland for a photocall to promote the film.
The actor placed Zendaya's tag in a socially awkward moment with Zendaya commenting, "I'm assuming because you don't know how to work ig, that's the reasoning behind my name placement," in a moment captured by Comments by Celebs.
Holland wrote back, "Thanks @zendaya for making me aware of my obvious blunder" before fixing the tag.
Considering Spider-Man: Far From Home was rehearsed and filmed months prior to its release date, we could assume that the pair have smooched many times before, but it wasn't until the movie hit theaters on June 26, 2019, that we saw the two kiss for the first time.
Holland and Zendaya even opened up during a Sirius XM Town Hall panel, discussing their height difference and whether or not it affected their kiss — which Holland described as a "stupid assumption."
"[Zendaya's] not that much taller," he added. "It's not like, people say like, 'How do you guys kiss? It must have been so difficult.' "
The Spider-Man: No Way Home costars sparked dating rumors yet again when they were spotted sharing a steamy smooch inside a car on July 2, 2021.
The pair has been known to keep their personal lives low-key, and have since then opened up about their feelings toward dating in the public eye.
In celebration of Zendaya's 25th birthday on September 1, Holland posted a cozy mirror selfie of the two together, paired with a sweet caption.
"My MJ, have the happiest of birthdays. Gimme a call when you're [sp] up xxx," he captioned the shot, which shows him in his Spider-Man suit with Zendaya close behind him as she takes the picture with a camera.
"Calling now♥️," Zendaya replied just a few hours later, as seen by Comments by Celebs.
During an interview with GQ in November 2021, Holland briefly opened up about his desire to keep his romantic life private in the public eye.
"One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn't really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world," Holland told the outlet.
Zendaya told the magazine that having others get a glimpse at her personal life is both "confusing and invasive."
"The equal sentiment [we both share] is just that when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own," the actress explained to the outlet. "I think loving someone is a sacred thing and a special thing and something that you want to deal with and go through and experience and enjoy amongst the two people that love each other."
Right before Spider-Man: No Way Home hit theaters, Zendaya shared a sentimental post dedicated to Holland on December 15.
The first photo showed the Spider-Man actor suspended from cables sporting the iconic red and blue Spider-Man suit with a swipe to a throwback photo of Holland dressed as the character from when he was a kid.
"My Spider-Man, I'm so proud of you," Zendaya wrote in the caption. "Some things never change and good thing♥️."
Zendaya and Holland were captured leaving the premiere of the actor's most recent film, Uncharted, hand-in-hand on Feb. 16, 2022.
For the evening out, Holland donned a light gray suit and black turtle neck, matched with black boots. Zendaya stepped out in a black shirt dress, accessorized with a black belt with a gold buckle and black heels.
While playing with puppies during a Buzzfeed interview, the Uncharted star revealed that he would like to guest star on the HBO series.
"I would be in Euphoria. I think I would be a really good Maddy," he said of the character portrayed by actress Alexa Demie. "I'm a big Euphoria fan. I love the show and I love season 2. I visited a lot while they were shooting it and I really, really enjoyed it."
Holland added, "I would love to guest star or just be an extra in it. Or maybe I am and you just don't know."
In a video shared by Sony on March 15, Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reunited to watch their audition tapes for the franchise. The trio could be seen sharing a laugh as they watched a young Holland's audition tape for the superhero.
During Euphoria's For Your Consideration event on April 20, Zendaya opened up to Entertainment Tonight about the role her then-boyfriend Holland plays in helping to "free" her up from her role on the HBO show.
"I think it's great to have that support and love around you, because you need that," Zendaya told ET when asked about how Holland "pulls her out of the dark moments as Rue."
"This isn't an easy job, so it's good to have that to free you up from it every now and then," she added.
During a day date, the pair were spotted holding hands and perusing art at the Louvre. Zendaya looked chic in a button-down shirt dress, while Holland looked handsome in a striped sweater and black slacks.
In a video posted by Zendaya's nail artist on Instagram, fans caught a glimpse of the Euphoria star's jewelry — a gold ring etched with the initials "TH."
The couple traveled to Mumbai for the opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. However, Holland and Zendaya walked the event's red carpet separately.
The Euphoria star and her beau were later spotted holding hands as they departed the country.
The couple attended Usher's Las Vegas residency concert at Park MGM's Dolby Live.
"When I tell you we barely had a voice by the end of this," Zendaya captioned a video on her Instagram Story. "Childhood dreams come true, going to an @usher concert."
Of course, the R&B star didn't let the evening end before shouting out the pair.
"Zendaya is in the house, ladies and gentlemen," Usher said to the crowd. "Tom Holland is in the house, ladies and gentlemen."
The couple watched the Golden State Warriors defeat the Los Angeles Lakers in game 2 of the NBA playoffs. Zendaya, who was photographed enjoying a box of popcorn, and her beau were all smiles at the sporting event.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Holland spoke about how he and Zendaya prefer to keep the details of their relationship relatively private.
“Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible," the actor explained. "We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”
During an interview with UNILAD, Holland talked about his love of carpentry and mentioned that he once impressed Zendaya by fixing her door.
"I fixed my girlfriend's door once really early on in our relationship," he said. "I was hanging out at her house and her door was broken. I was like, 'I'm gonna fix that door for you.' And now we're in love."
On an episode of On Purpose with Jay Shetty,Holland shared that his relationship with Zendaya is what he holds "most sacred."
"I don’t talk about it. I try my best to keep it as private as possible. We both feel very strongly that that is the healthiest way to move on as a couple," he said, adding that he feels most like himself when he's with the Euphoria star.
Zendaya has accepted that her relationship with Holland is of public interest — but she still craves a life where paparazzi aren't tracking their every move.
“I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love," she told Elle. "You can’t hide. That’s not fun either. I am navigating it more than ever now.”
The Euphoria star added that she's very selective about what she chooses to share with her fans and the media.
"It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist," she said.
While talking to Extra at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards, Holland said that he and Zendaya rewatch their 2017 movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, to "relive" that time in their lives.
"Zendaya and I will, every now and then, watch Spider-Man 1 and reminisce about being 19 and making those movies again," he said. "I love those movies, and I love savoring those moments, so I try not to watch them as often as I would maybe like to because it’s so special. It's such a luxury, such a gift to be able to sit down and sort of relive your youth.”
In a clip from Buzzfeed's puppy interview, Zendaya was asked who from the Dune cast has the most "rizz." But while she admitted that she believes "everybody's got their own," she chose to praise Holland for his skills instead of picking one of her costars, saying that he's "naturally good" at talking to people.
“I think someone who has beautiful charisma, not on the Dune cast, but personally works for me, is Mr. Tom Holland.” she said. “I’m more shy and kind of quiet. So it takes a bit more to pull me out of my shell. But he’s great at just talking to people, getting to know people.”
The couple were spectators at the BNP Paribas Open finals in Indian Wells, California. During the match, Zendaya and Holland were spotted singing along to Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody," which was being played over the stadium speakers.
As Holland wrapped up his run as Romeo in London's West End production of Romeo & Juliet, Zendaya was photographed arriving at the Duke of York Theatre, carrying a bouquet of flowers ahead of his final show.
During an appearance on the Rich Roll podcast, Holland said that acting as a handyman for Zendaya using the carpentry skills taught to him by his late grandfather is one of his "favorite things."
"If something breaks in Zendaya's house, I take huge pride in fixing it," he said. "The other day, she has this guest room, which was ... it wasn't the greatest room, like it needed some love."
Holland continued, "I built her these cupboards and put a new wardrobe up for her and fitted it in so it looked like it was part of the wall. And I was very proud of myself."
Zendaya joined Holland at the launch of his non-alcoholic drink brand, Bero, in New York City. The couple coordinated in burgundy ensembles for the special event at Nine Orchard.
While talking to Men's Health for the magazine's January-February 2025 cover, Holland said there's a reason he avoids joining Zendaya on the red carpet at her premieres.
“Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us," he said.
Engagement rumors began to swirl after Zendaya walked the Golden Globes red carpet wearing a massive diamond on her left ring finger. She also debuted a "t" tattoo on her ribcage that fans believe is dedicated to Holland.
Less than 24 hours after Zendaya walked the Golden Globes red carpet, PEOPLE confirmed that she and Holland are engaged. TMZ was the first to report the news, with a source telling the outlet that Holland had proposed between the Christmas and New Year's holidays at one of Zendaya's family homes.
